U.S. Stocks Sporadically Plunge As Investors See End To Bull Market
Recent plunges in the stock market have resulted in sell-offs which raise concern that equities may get dumped in anticipation of a bear market. Consumer and technology companies that have relied on demand from China have led the charge to lower prices.
After a 4-year bull market, durable goods slumped 7.8% according to the U.S. Commerce Department, the Standard and Poors fell 5-days in a row, the Shanghai and Shenzhen 300 Index dropped 9.2% in the past year. European and world markets are also showing signs of slumping amidst signs of a slowing economy.
These are the first cracks to appear that may signal an economic pullback as well as a reluctance of domestic companies to invest and expand their overall profile. Hopefully it's just a glitch on the radar screen cuz we all want to see the good times roll.
